The debut of PopPicks reinforces Kaboodle’s leadership position in social shopping as it offers a first of its kind platform that directly integrates social commerce into its online shopping community. Shari Gunn, chief marketing officer at Kaboodle, explains, "At its core, Kaboodle has always been a way for shoppers to discover, share, tiffany rings, and interact with products that have been vetted by other shoppers like them. This new feature extends community empowerment and amplifies their collective voice by allowing them to influence what, exactly, is featured during our exclusive sales events. New research, tiffany money clips, ‘Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans in the breast of a 2-year-old girl,’ is the subject of a report (see also <http://www.newsrx.com/library/topics/Dermatofibrosarcoma.html> Dermatofibrosarcoma). According to recent research from the United States, "Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a low-grade dermal and subcutaneous spindle cell neoplasm that most commonly occurs in the extremities and trunk of adults. It is rare in children and infants, and only few cases are reported as congenital."
"A 2-year-old girl presented with a rapidly enlarging left breast mass. The histology of the excised mass revealed a moderately cellular spindle cell tumor with large hypercellular fibrosarcoma-like areas, few myxoid areas, tiffany necklaces, and other areas with multinucleated giant cells. By immunohistochemistry, the tumor cells were focally positive for CD34 and were negative in the fibrosarcomatous areas. The diagnosis of DFSP was confirmed by demonstrating an unbalanced translocation der(22)t(17;22)(q21.3;q13.1) by conventional cytogenetic and fluorescence in situ hybridization analyses. Positive immunoreactivity with PDGFR-beta antibody indicated constitutional activation of PDGF receptor and provided an alternate indirect method of confirming the presence of dysregulated PDGF gene involved in this translocation. Although DFSP has been described in the adult female breast, this is the first such case in the breast of a 2-year-old girl. Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans should be considered in the differential diagnosis of subcutaneous/dermal spindle cell tumors in children regardless of the site. CD 34 immunostaining should not be relied on, as it may be negative in fibrosarcomatous areas,Charm bracelet," wrote A.A. Ahmed and colleagues, Children’s Mercy Hospital.
The researchers concluded: "Confirmation of the diagnosis in unusual sites requires identification of the characteristic t(17;22) chromosomal translocation."
Ahmed and colleagues published their study in Annals of Diagnostic Pathology (Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans in the breast of a 2-year-old girl. Annals of Diagnostic Pathology, 2010;14(4):279-83).

According to a study from Romania, "African Burkitt lymphomas (BL) are highly aggressive lymphomas mainly affecting children and young adults in Africa (see also <http://www.newsrx.com/library/topics/Lymphoma.html> Lymphoma). This lymphoma was marked by its high sensitivity to chemotherapy in comparison to Sporadic Burkitt lymphoma."
"In this study, we evaluated the treatment response and survival of patients with CMA protocol. Eighty-five of the 105 children registered were evaluated for response; there were 46 boys and 39 girls, whose age at diagnosis ranged from 3 to 18 years (median 11 years), admitted to the Hematology National Teaching Hospital of Abidjan in the period 1998-2008 with a diagnosis of BL on histological review and who were given CMA chemotherapy with curative intent are included in this analysis. CMA protocol is a low intermediate regimen of 3 drugs [Cytarabin (ara-C), Methotrexate (MTX), and Cyclophosphamide] with CNS-directed treatment by intrathecal MTX, ara-C and corticosteroid. Fifty-five of 85 patients obtained CR after induction therapy and 10 after 3 supplementary cycle because of partial response. The overall complete remission was 76%. Fifty-three of patients were alive in first CR at a median survival rate period of 2 years (range 82 days to 9 years) and are continuously disease free from Burkitt lymphomas. Twelve patients relapse after CR and died of lymphoma progression. More than 32 patients died, as a result of lymphoma progression. Among the 32 dead, 10 were in Murphy stage IV and all the patients who presented bone marrow involvement died. The projected 5-year overall survival rate was 62%," wrote D. Negrea and colleagues.
The researchers concluded: "CMA protocol shows the high sensitivity of African Burkitt lymphoma. This can be considered as a successful result for people living in poor socio-economic conditions with no health insurance."
Negrea and colleagues published the results of their research in the Journal of Optoelectronics and Advanced Materials (Microstructural characterization of hydroxyapatite-alendronate nanocomposites. Journal of Optoelectronics and Advanced Materials, 2010;12(5):1194-1199).

According to a study from the United States, "Immunoglobulin (Ig) A deficiency has long been recognized in patients with chromosome 18 abnormalities (see also <http://www.newsrx.com/library/topics/IgA-Deficiency.html> IgA Deficiency). We present the case of a young girl in whom a chromosome 18p deletion syndrome (46,tiffany money clips,XX,discount tiffany,del[18][p11.1]) was associated not only with IgA deficiency, but also with an inability to make antibody to the unconjugated pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine, Pneumovax II, indicating a concomitant specific polysaccharide antibody deficiency."
"The patient suffered from recurrent upper respiratory tract and genitourinary infections, which were controlled by the use of prophylactic antibiotics. The association of specific polysaccharide antibody deficiency, tiffany key rings, IgA deficiency, and chromosome 18p deletion syndrome has not been described previously, and extends the immunological phenotype of antibody deficiencies associated with defects of chromosome 18," wrote M.C. Caillaud and colleagues, Ithaca College.
The researchers concluded: "The presence of specific polysaccharide antibody deficiency should be investigated in patients with chromosome 18 abnormalities, as these patients may have a more severe spectrum of infections than patients with chromosome 18 abnormalities and selective IgA deficiency alone."
Caillaud and colleagues published the results of their research in the Journal of Insect Science (Genetics of color polymorphism in the pea aphid, Acyrthosiphon pisum. Journal of Insect Science, 2010;10():95).

It’s one of the most famous scenes in film history. Audrey Hepburn steps out of a cab in the early morning darkness, looks up at the Tiffany & Co. building on Fifth Avenue, strolls over to a window and begins to nibble on a Danish pastry as she eyes the jewels inside.
Her hair is swept up, her demeanor that of quiet sophistication, her little sleeveless dress is black. Of course.
If only it were that simple.
Much has been written about Truman Capote’s novella Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and just as much has been written about the movie of the same name. Author Sam Wasson is now adding his own take on the classic in Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M.: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and the Dawn of the Modern Women.
Anyone even slightly interested in Capote/Hepburn/Breakfast at Tiffany’s will delight in his account, although a lot of it is old news.
Yes, Capote was not happy with the film version, with its possibility of multiple endings. Yes, Marilyn Monroe was Capote’s first choice for Holly Golightly. Yes, Hepburn didn’t even want the part, thinking it was not the image she wanted to project. She didn’t like Danish pastries, either. She wanted to eat ice cream in the opening scene, but director Blake Edwards convinced her that ice cream was not for breakfast.
There were some who didn’t even like the movie’s now-classic theme, Moon River.
But through intensive research and interviews, Wasson is able to tell the story from an insider’s point of view, giving readers a behind-the-scenes look at what it took to make the movie — the egos,Tiffany bangles, the budget restraints, the folks at Tiffany’s who had never before allowed cameras inside. In short,Tiffany necklaces, it’s a good page-turner even if we do know the ending.
There are some surprises, too. Hepburn wasn’t a beauty?
"Her legs were too long, her waist was too small, her feet were too big and so were her eyes, nose and the two gaping nostrils in it," writes Wasson. "When she smiled she revealed a mouth that swallowed up her face and a row of jagged teeth that wouldn’t look too good in close-ups."
And then there was Hepburn’s virginal image to deal with. Holly Golightly was anything but chaste,Tiffany cuff links, and in the puritanical late ’50s, nice girls did not sleep around. Did the movie set the stage for the free-sex ’60s?
You be the judge. Just remember what Ms. Golightly believed: Nothing bad can ever happen to you at Tiffany’s.

Jim Patterson’s 1933 Delage D8S Roadster with coachwork by De Villars should be one of the contenders for Best in Show at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The Delage was the star of the 1934 Paris Auto Salon. "Whoop,Tiffany Sets, whoop!" went the girls. Weep, weep! went the emotional super-fans. At Harrods last week, Jennifer Aniston (pictured) followed Britney Spears,Tiffany rings, Julio Iglesias and Luciano Pavarotti and launched her own perfume.
I sprayed a sample in the air and sniffed. "Jen sprays and then walks into the fragrance," said the PR person. "That’s so that you don’t over-spritz," Aniston told me. The scent was sweet, clean and sexy, with a top note of jasmine. "It was one of those first sense memory things," said Aniston of the flower, one of her favourite childhood smells. "I had a specific idea of what I wanted that [fragrance] to be: a representation of myself, not what some ad agency’s representation of myself was. I’m usually pretty much misrepresented all the time." Not this time. According to Laurent Le Guernec, senior perfumer at International Flavors & Fragrances, and official celebrity "nose", who has worked with Sarah Jessica Parker, Jay-Z and Sean John: "Jennifer was involved from the beginning – more than other celebrities". Aniston appeared at the first meeting with her favourite smells ("a candle, a L’Oreal hair serum, and a body lotion that I love"), and it was she who decided on the name: "It was in the 11th hour, so I was like,Tiffany necklaces, ‘excuse me but f*** it, let’s just call it ‘Jennifer’." But will I wear it? Yes, it’s light and pretty and perfect for the day; it isn’t as cloying as celebrity fragrances – "Kate", one of Kate Moss’s earlier efforts, comes to mind – and its sleek packaging is discreet enough to open in front of the family at Christmas without incurring extreme humiliation. But I like to smell of me, not someone else. Fortunately for Aniston, there are thousands of super-fans who disagree. ‘Jennifer’ is on sale at Harrods: 50ml,Tiffany bangles, pound(s)29; 85ml, pound(s)36

Nary a penny loafer or flip-flop was in sight at the H-Town Sneaker Summit on Sunday at the Meridian. Sporting their best in footwear, hundreds of sneaker lovers from across Texas turned out for the one-day event, hoping to leave with a new pair for their collection or to meet their favorite designer.
Clutching a pink Nike shoe box, Umair Qureshi eyed a table stacked with colorful sneakers.
But the 20-year-old wasn’t looking to buy anything. Instead, he was patiently waiting on designer Nick Diamond to make an appearance.
"It’s my favorite clothes brand and shoes," he said,Tiffany Money Clips, pointing to his Nick Diamond black T-shirt and shoes. "I’ve been looking forward to it. I brought the box for him to sign."
Nearly two hours after the summit began outside downtown, the line to the entrance snaked around the building as visitors braved the heat to gain access to more than 25,000 square feet of shoes.
"It’s feeding the frenzy," said Eric Robertson, a representative from Active Athlete. "This has been an explosive subculture since 1999 when Nike started their retro collection."
Hip-hop music blaring, guests weaved in and out of each room, admiring vendor collections, as well as those of other footwear fans.
"Sorry, man," one visitor said, stepping on another visitor’s foot. "Oh, nice shoes," he added.
Robertson said a shoe’s appearance is critical when selecting a new pair.
"You’re looking for explosiveness that no one else has," he said.
Sloane Teagle tagged along with her older brother to the event.
"He drove in from Austin to meet me here for this,Tiffany bangles," the 17-year-old said. "I’m not so much into names as he is, but I think this is pretty cool.
"I only have like 50 to 60 pairs," she added, looking at her lime green sneakers.
Christopher "Sleepy" Dixon, who owns House of Shoes in Sugar Land, brought several pairs along with him for his vendor table, showcasing shoes ranging from $100 to $1,Tiffany Watches,500.
"You want something that nobody else has," he said,Tiffany cuff links, describing the buying process. "You’re looking at quality and whether it’s a good price."
And although he already has 200 pairs of shoes in his closet, Dixon said he still would check out the other vendors.
"Maybe I’ll find something for myself," he said, grinning.

Vikings players ride bicycles from their dorm rooms to practice at training camp, to save time and avoid signing autographs. As the 80 players who have reported to camp took the field for their first practice on Friday afternoon, a white bike remained in front of the players’ dorm.
It was adorned with the number 4, a reminder that Brett Favre, the Hamlet of Hattiesburg, has placed his comfort over the needs and wants of a team offering to pay him $13 million for six months of employment, has again placed himself on a different plane than his teammates.
Favre’s bike is like Jim Thome’s favorite glove or Glen Taylor’s trophy case: It will never be used.
Vikings coach Brad Childress has displayed wisdom and patience in his courting of Favre. He was right to recruit Favre last summer, and he is right to accede to Favre’s wishes this summer. For all of his old-school philosophies about teamwork, cohesiveness, work ethic and responsibility, Childress recognizes that he operates in a results business and that Favre produces far better results than any other quarterback available to him.
Childress is right to wait for Favre. Favre is wrong to keep Childress waiting.
Favre’s teammates and Vikings management seem content with his insistence on extending his summer vacation,Tiffany pendants, but Favre is being illogical, irresponsible and lazy.
None of his excuses for skipping training camp makes sense, even if you can imagine them being delivered in a charming Southern drawl.
He wants more time at home? He’s been in Hattiesburg since January, he’ll be back by February, and if and when he does retire,Tiffany Watches, he’ll be there for the rest of his life, and there isn’t much to do in central Mississippi, anyway,Tiffany cuff links, other than sweat and wish you lived someplace else.
He can’t stand training camp? This is not an old-school camp, where coaches try to break down players for the purposes of developing toughness and encouraging male bonding. There are badminton tournaments with more hitting than these practices, and the team has moved into a cushy new dorm with air conditioning, and camp lasts two weeks instead of a month.
He doesn’t like practice? Vikings players should be insulted that Favre would rather throw to high school receivers in 100-degree heat than throw to them in 80-degree comfort.
He wants to conserve his arm and energy? Favre would have just as much control over his workload in Mankato as he does at Oak Grove High.
He doesn’t need much work to get ready? That proved true last season, when the Vikings began with games against two of the worst teams in existence, the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions.
This year, the Vikings begin with a game that is as ominous as it is symbolic — an opener in New Orleans. Favre will not be able to pitch-and-putt his way to an easy victory while he reacclimates to the realities of the NFL.
The team that practiced in Mankato on Friday is as talented and deep as any in the NFL. If you want to find reason for concern in this camp other than Sidney Rice’s hip or Cedric Griffin’s knee, you need only look at the Vikings’ two most renowned players, Favre and Adrian Peterson.
No one with the team would want to hear this term, but Favre is conducting a holdout. He is under contract and sure to play, so his absence should be called nothing less.
Including playoff games, Peterson fumbled nine times and botched one handoff last season. In his three seasons,Tiffany bangles, his yards-per-rush average has dropped from 5.6 to 4.8 to 4.4.
He spent four days this offseason at Winter Park, missing most team activities.
Favre and Peterson avoided working with their team this summer, shirked tasks that would be expected of teammates. Their absences might not damage the Vikings, but any interception Favre throws in New Orleans and any fumble Peterson leaves on the ground in Green Bay will stand as proof that they spent this summer tempting fate and avoiding duty.
