Enhanced Medic Network Gives First Responders Crit

With invisibleBracelet.org (iB), a virtual medical ID,tiffany money clips on sale, consumers may have their vital health information readily available to emergency medical service (EMS) providers through the new ICE Public Profile and Enhanced Medic Network, helping save crucial time.

The new iB Web service offers two levels of protection. iB members may enroll for the SMS text-based 51020 ICE Public Profile that can instantly share medical conditions, medication, allergy and/or "in case of emergency" (ICE) contact details with first responders that have access to a member’s iB wallet card, ID sticker or key fob. First responders receive a 160-character ICE alert text message that was created by the member during the registration process. All major U.S. mobile carriers including AT&T,tiffany rings on sale, Verizon, Sprint, tiffany clearance, T-Mobile,buy tiffany key rings, Nextel, Alltel, U.S. Cellular and Boost Mobile support the 51020 service.

The Enhanced Medic Network takes the 51020 feature to the next level of service, offering members a private profile only accessible to licensed and trained EMS providers in dozens of markets throughout the U.S. With 110 initial licensees, iB will have more than 10,000 medics trained on how to locate iB identifiers and query iB personal identification numbers (PINs) using the iB Medic Network search engine. Medics can query the PIN and get instant access to the patient-provided information about their current health conditions. If medical transport is necessary, medics can notify up to 10 ICE contacts with the push of a button by simply confirming the name of the medical facility the patient is being taken for treatment.

To use either the 51020 ICE Public Profile or the Enhanced Medic Network, the service costs $10 per member, per year.

"People are taking control of their health information in a brand new way and connecting with their family members and friends when it matters most," said Noah Roberts, tiffany cuff Links on sale, CEO, Invisible Bracelet. "With our expanding network of EMS and Emergency Department (ED) health care providers, iB is turning into a must-have resource for every American."

Once they have a membership card, an individual then returns to invisibleBracelet.org, creates an account and enters the PIN found on the iB card to create their patient profile with his/her health information. The member then adds names, email addresses, mobile and landline phone numbers for emergency contacts. The iB patient profile can then be updated at any time at no cost to keep the information current with any health or medication changes.

Members are instructed to place the iB card directly behind their driver’s license, attach a fob to their key chain or backpack and apply a sticker to their health identification card.

"When we arrive at an emergency, we are tasked with treating patients based on no information about their health history other than their current circumstances. With Invisible Bracelet, we can immediately pull up the health facts we need to know. It saves valuable time," said Matt Zvadasky, director of operations for emergency service provider MedStar in Fort Worth, Texas.

By partnering with the American Ambulance Association (AAA), iB is rapidly establishing itself as a new national standard of practice for securely identifying patients and notifying loved ones. Over the next 36 months, the AAA is working with iB to train all of its affiliated medics.

As a "HIPAA Compliant" Web service, iB meets or exceeds state and federal patient privacy and security laws. iB creates audit logs every time patient data is accessed. That way, the company can guarantee a record of when a patient’s data was viewed and by which authorized medic.

Nigel Brennan a ‘gentleman’, fellow kidnap victim

Australian kidnap victim Nigel Brennan has been praised by his fellow prisoner for helping her survive 15 months in captivity as the pair were held for ransom by Somalia gunmen.

Canadian freelance writer Amanda Lindhout, who is now back home in the western Canadian province of Alberta, tiffany money clips on sale, says Mr Brennan inspired her during their long and terrifying ordeal.

The pair were released last month upon the delivery of an estimated $A600,discount tiffany Pendants,000 ransom after enduring torture and beatings.

"His strength of character in the midst of extreme hardship inspired me during the darkest days, tiffany rings sale," Ms Lindhout said in a written statement released on Friday.

The two were initially held together but were then separated after a failed escape attempt in January.

"Despite our separation, he always managed to find small ways to remind me that there are gentlemen in the world, even when I was surrounded by just the opposite, tiffany cuffLink," the 28-year-old said.

"His resilience and positive attitude after our ordeal is a tribute to the strength of the human spirit. Nigel, I look forward to seeing what amazing things you will do with your life."

Ms Lindhout also makes special mention of members of Mr Brennan’s family who helped negotiate their release.

Mr Brennan, a 37-year-old Queensland photojournalist, cheap tiffany key rings, returned to Australia two weeks ago.

He has said he shouldn’t have risked travelling to a Somali refugee camp outside of the capital city Mogadishu, but his motives were honourable to tell the plight of displaced people.

"I must confess there were times when I wondered if this moment would ever come," he told reporters in Sydney on December 9.

Both have now thanked the long list of supporters, family members and agencies who worked to ensure their release and safety.

Their families hired a private hostage negotiator firm to secure their release and raised money for the ransom through donations.

Both say they are taking their recovery one day at a time.

KEEPING KANSAS CITY BEAUTIFUL

The University of Missouri at Kansas City issued the following news release:

A walk through the UMKC campus reveals several sustainable projects, such as an environmentally-friendly New Student Union, Miller Nichols Library green roof, Sustainability minor, thanksgiving money clips, community garden and the Swinney Recreation Center/Clean Commute bicycle program – introduced to UMKC by Kansas City, Mo.-based Bridging the Gap.

Inspired by UMKC’s commitment to sustainability, the Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) fraternity volunteered for Bridging the Gap’s Keep Kansas City Beautiful Litter Index. Designed by Keep America Beautiful, the Litter Index measures the amount of visible litter in a community to evaluate and guide litter prevention efforts. The Litter Index divides Kansas City, Mo. neighborhoods into 34 clusters, thanksgiving key rings, and litter is measured on a scale of one to four – one indicating no litter and four indicating extreme litter and illegal dumping.

"I thought it would be a fun event for all of us to participate in,tiffany earrings clearance," said Ryan Braam, SAE philanthropy chairman and junior political science major in the UMKC College of Arts and Sciences. "For this project, I wanted all of our members to participate and have fun while also providing a helpful service. And I really think that both were accomplished during the index."

After completing a Bridging the Gap training program, fraternity members ventured out in trucks bedecked with Keep America Beautiful magnets.

Studying the streets and sidewalks near Kansas City International Airport, thanksgiving day 2010, fraternity members noticed litter they may have overlooked on any other day. They saw typical litter, such as paper and bags. And they noticed atypical litter, tiffany money clips clearance, such as an abandoned car.

The final statistics for the 2010 litter index are not yet available, but 2009 boasted the lowest numbers in the Kansas City index’s 10-year history. Fans welcome back Backstreet Boys

For the first time in five years, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell and AJ McLean brought Backstreet back to the ‘Burgh with the "This Is Us" tour.

The Wednesday evening concert at the Trib Amphitheatre at Station Square marked the first time the band performed here without eldest member Kevin Richardson, who left the group in 2006 to start a family.

The concert’s turnout and venue also were much different from those in the early 2000s. Gone are the hordes of screaming teenage girls filling 20,000-plus capacity arenas, such as when the band’s singles dominated airwaves and topped the countdown of MTV’s now-defunct "Total Request Live." Wednesday’s show brought out children, younger adults and senior citizens — male and female — to the modest-sized,bangles, more simplistic outdoor space, with its folding chairs, asphalt surface and carnival-like food vendors.

Pop singer and Pittsburgh-native Tino Coury opened the show at 7 p.m. with a six-song set. Highlights included the upbeat "Boys Lie" and "Diary," which brought audience members to their feet. He showed off his guitar skills during the slower "Memory."

A lengthy lull followed but fans forgot about the wait and the weather after Mr. Littrell’s 7-year-old son, Baylee, took the stage to introduce his father and his band mates,Charm bracelet, who kicked off the roughly two-hour performance with the classic "Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)."

More old-school Backstreet tunes followed including "We’ve Got It Goin’ On," "Quit Playing Games With My Heart" and "I’ll Never Break Your Heart" from the debut album; "I Want It That Way" from the "Millennium" album; and "The Call" and "Shape of My Heart" from 2000′s "Black and Blue." Fans danced and sang along to the older songs, but many sat in silence during the newer ones, from the group’s latest album, "This Is Us," which dropped last fall.

Time has treated BSB well. The vocals were strong, pendants, and the choreography just as energetic and precise as in past tours. Many songs were colored with hip-hop moves, watches, while ballads often featured more Temptations-style routines with the boys remaining stationary except for some hand gestures or tilts of microphone stands. Four women accompanied the group in some dance numbers.

A surprise of the evening came when the group did not perform the traditional choreography for "Everybody" and "All I Have to Give." These routines grew popular from each song’s music video and previous tours. For many longtime Backstreet fans, the dance steps to these songs are as familiar as the moves to the "YMCA" or the "Macarena," so not seeing them was a bit disappointing.

BSB made up for the omission with its rendition of "Larger Than Life" — arguably a pinnacle of the performance. The group brought the song’s futuristic music video to the stage when it performed its original choreography and wore black-and-silver sequined space-like jumpsuits and vests, tiffany, reminiscent of those in the video.

The group sported a variety of looks throughout the show ranging from upscale casual vests, dress shirts and fedoras to hipper sequined zip-up jackets, graphic tees and jeans. Short films featuring band members making cameos in movies such as "Fast and Furious" and "Enchanted" passed the time during costume changes.

The boys also did not address the audience as much as in previous tours. The only real talk came from Mr. Littrell early on in the show when he welcomed everybody. But the group was not short on thanks for its fans. "We couldn’t have been the Backstreet Boys for 171/2 years without beautiful people like you," Mr. Littrell told the crowd.

Woman pleads guilty to 8 sex crimes against daughter

Circuit Judge Joel Laird sentenced an Oxford woman Thursday to 160 tiffany necklaces sale in prison for multiple sex crimes against her mentally disabled teenage daughter, some involving men the woman met on the Internet.

The 39-year-old woman pleaded guilty to six counts of second-degree sodomy and two counts of second-degree rape. Investigators said she was charged with sodomy because she began committing sex acts against her daughter when the girl was 12 years old.

When her daughter was 14, the woman began allowing men she had met in online chat rooms to have sex with the girl, leading to the rape charges, said sex crimes investigator Steve Robertson. She sometimes forced the girl to perform sex acts with her while the men watched, and sometimes the mother received payment for the acts against her daughter, he said.

Most of the sex acts took place either at the men’s residences, motels or in parking lots, according to the investigator.

The Star does not publish the names of sex crime victims. As such, The Star is tiffany sale publishing the woman’s name to prevent identifying the victim, who is now 18.

At least four of the men who participated in the crimes have pending rape charges against them, Robertson said. Two of those men are from Anniston; the other two are from Talladega and Etowah County.

The Star does not publish the names of those accused of sex crimes unless a conviction is handed down.

The investigation began in October 2007, when Oxford police Investigator Roger Phillips was contacted by the FBI with information from one of the men involved in the case.

After interviews with the victim, investigators arrested the mother in April 2009, according to online court records. The case became a cooperative effort with the Oxford Police Department, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Calhoun-Cleburne County District Attorneys Office and Daybreak Crisis Recovery Center, Robertson said.

“It’s such a sad situation, probably one of the worst we’ve ever seen,” he said. “(The victim) is so damaged, so scarred.”

According to Robertson, Daybreak Crisis Recovery Center counselor Kirsten tiffany rings sale told the court the victim will require lifetime care because of her mental state after so many years of sexual abuse.

Stephenson told The Star the victim was already mentally disabled prior to the sexual abuse.

The woman is scheduled for a probation hearing in April, said Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Weems, who prosecuted the case.

Despite Recession, Many Consumers Are Spending $100 and Up This Valentine’s Day

The only thing worse than “buyer’s remorse,” is “gift-giver’s remorse.” And this Valentine’s Day is especially tricky as romantics balance their need to be budget conscious with finding a thoughtful gift their partner will love. To help address this challenge, Buzzillions.com is sharing the results of a new survey of online shoppers – tiffany jewelry and Buzzillions.com users – that highlights how much people are planning to spend, and more importantly, the most desired gifts by both sexes.

According to the survey, 43 percent of consumers will spend between $50-100 on a gift for their significant other, with 14 percent saying they will spend $150 or more. The most common response was $100.

The Buzzillions survey also identified the most – and least – desirable gifts for both men and women (excluding flowers). Christmas comes early as shoppers flock to shops

Hopes of a good Christmas on the High Street were boosted today after a sharp rise in sales. tiffany Official figures showed sales volumes last month were 0.4 percent higher than in September and 3.4 percent ahead of October last year.

It was the biggest year-on-year increase since May 2008 at the beginning of the recession.

John Lewis fuelled the feel-good factor with news that sales so far this week at its department stores are 15 percent up on the same period last year.

David Barford, director of selling operations at John Lewis, said: “This is really encouraging. bangles Branches are noticing a definite Christmas feeling and our online operation continues to go from strength to strength.

“Customers are getting their homes ready for Christmas and are gift buying in earnest across beauty, toys, fashion and consumer electronics.”

The robust performance on the High Street was a rare piece of good news on a generally gloomy day for the UK economy.

The Office for National Statistics said shoppers are flocking to the High Street to buy clothes and shoes.

The figures showed sales volumes for clothing and shoe stores were 10.7 percent up on a year rings ago. Annual growth in non-food retailing reached 3.5 percent against 1.6 percent across food stores.

Analysts said shoppers are bringing forward online purchases due to fear of disruption from the postal strike.

The looming reversal of the VAT cut, which sees the levy go back to 17.5 percent from 15 percent on 1 January, also lured shoppers into stores.

Jonathan Loynes of Capital Economics said: “High Street spending is still holding up reasonably strongly in the face of some pretty adverse conditions for consumers.”

Economic outlook: Retail data signals for Christmas

This week’s economic releases, although few in number tiffany jewelry, will give an indication of just how cash-strapped consumers are in the run up to the traditional Christmas spending spree.

The first such announcement, US retail sales for October, is out on Monday and the headline figure is expected to show a slight improvement on September. The consensus forecast is for a roughly 1 per cent increase in headline sales.

This expected rise in the October figure is the result of a rebound in vehicle sales, which have increased by an annualised amount of 10.5m for the month, translating into a 3 per cent increase in retail sales for motor vehicle and parts dealers.

UK retail sales for October are released on Thursday. Based on figures from the British Retail Consortium and surveys by the CBI, the employers organisation, analysts’ consensus forecast is for an increase on September of about 0.5 per cent.

Although a small improvement, it is heartening after the previous release, which saw sales remain flat at zero per cent growth.

The week will also reveal how consumer prices have fared in the US and UK during October, in addition to the final release of eurozone consumer prices for the month.

US consumer price index figures come on Wednesday. Although these are expected to have increased tiffany bangles from September (by about 0.2 per cent), there will still be deflation compared with the same period last year, with analysts expecting this to be at -0.3 per cent. The upward pressure on prices since September is the result of increases in energy costs, specifically heating oil costs.

UK CPI figures for October are released on Tuesday, and analysts expect headline inflation to have increased by 1.4 per cent. September’s inflation figures came in lower than the consensus forecast mainly because of weaker than expected growth in food prices. Petrol prices also declined, falling a reported 1.2 per cent in October. Analysts, however, see both these declines as only a temporary lull and expect upward pressure to reassert itself on both these items this month.

The final announcement of the eurozone harmonised CPI for October is made on Monday, and is forecast to be the same as the -0.1 per cent annual change of the flash estimate.

Thursday brings the final release of UK public finance data for October, ahead of the pre-Budget report in early December. Analysts expect public sector net borrowing to be at about 7bn for the month, with the Treasury forecasting total borrowing for the 2009-10 fiscal year at 175bn. HSBC analysts view this as overly pessimistic and expect total borrowing for the year to come in at 153bn.

Other prominent releases this week are Japanese gross domestic product figures, due out on Monday. Analysts are expecting modest growth in Japan’s economy over the third quarter, with a consensus of 0.7 per cent from the previous three months.

Failure to meet expectations may lead to some serious questions being asked about the quality of the recovery in Japan’s economy, particularly if third-quarter growth drops below the 0.6 per cent rise seen in the second quarter.

The tabular content relating to this article is not available to view. Apologies in advance for the inconvenience tiffany rings caused.

US industry comes into focus on Tuesday with the release of producer prices and industrial production data for October. The headline producer price index is forecast to be up 0.8 per cent on September because of higher energy costs.

Measures of US industrial activity have indicated output increases across all sectors, and analysts expect the headline industrial production figure to be up 0.4 per cent on September. Automobile output is expected to fall in October after having risen 35 per cent over the previous three months.
